Heroin and Opioid Awareness Week
The week of September 18-24, 2016 is Heroin and Opioid Awareness Week as designated by President Obama. A number of events will take place across the country to strategize and reinforce the Administration’s approach of prevention, enforcement, and treatment. U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch says the heroin and opioid epidemic is “one of the most urgent law enforcement and public health challenges facing our country.”
In collaboration with the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids through the TASC Community Grant Initiative, and the Scottsdale Police Department, a community workshop on Preventing and Getting Help for Opioid Abuse and Addiction, will be held on September 28, 2016. Space is limited.
